Ari Orenstein, Practice Manager

Ari recently earned his MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus this past December! With school now behind him, he's excited to be in the office full-time, honing his management skills and helping every day run smoothly. Outside of the animal hospital, Ari stays busy with his 3-year-old daughter and his 4-year-old Pomsky, Alpha. When he has some free time, you’ll likely find him rock climbing or biking, he’s always up for a little adventure.

Jennifer Szymanski, Office Manager

Jennifer graduated from Appalachian State University in 2000, majoring in Business Management. She has always loved animals and the outdoors. She spends her free time with her children and pets. They enjoy kayaking and hiking with their 4 dogs. She also occasionally does rescue, volunteer, and service work. Mrs. Szymanski enjoys being surrounded by animals and is a true nurturer and caregiver at heart!

Veterinary Technicians

Leah A., Technician

Leah brings over 10 years of experience as a veterinary technician to our team. Her passion for animal care is matched only by the energy she brings to the clinic. At home, Leah stays on her toes with her 3-year-old son, her Border Collie named Bullet, and her Jack Russell Terrier named Cruz. When summer rolls around, you can find her out on the field playing softball, her favorite way to unwind and stay active.

Sam A., Technician

Sam has been a valued part of our team for the past 5 years. He currently attends Anne Arundel Community College and enjoys spending time with his Great Dane, Sadie. Outside of work, Sam keeps active by hitting the gym and playing hockey in a local recreational league.

Zemira O., Veterinary Student

Zemira earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park this past December. This May, she’ll be heading to the Caribbean to begin Veterinary School at Ross University! While we’ll miss her greatly, we’re so excited to cheer her on as she takes this next big step in her academic and career journey. Zemira has a bearded dragon named Zuko who, sadly, can’t join her for island life, but don’t worry, we’ll make sure he’s well cared for while she’s gone.

Karri H., Receptionist

Karri has been working as a veterinary receptionist for over 10 years. As a pet lover, Karri knew that her future after high school would revolve around animals. She has a dog named Ayla, and two cats named Ziggy and Whiskey. In her free time, Karri loves hiking and camping with her dog.

Naomi V., Receptionist

Naomi has been a part of our team since 2022, but her career in the pet care industry began long before that. She has worked as a manager for a kennel, a veterinary receptionist, and a pharmacist for over 8 years. After a day at work, Naomi comes home to her 11 year old son and her 2 dogs, Leroy and Buddy. When she is not working, Naomi loves to do hair and make up.

Owen D., Kennel

Owen has been part of our team for over a year and is known for being both resourceful and innovative. He shares his home with his Husky puppy named Queen and enjoys spending his free time playing video games and working out.
